The hunger

When I start to get hungry – not even a proper stomach rumbling hungry – there’s a sense of immediate urgency that I must satisfy.

And it’s so distracting – the call to eat – that it’s almost scary. As if I will turn into a monster if I don’t eat immediately. If I am not at home at the time, I get really grouchy and distracted.

Is it physiological of psychological? I fear it’s just an ingrained habit of eating at the first sign of hunger pangs.

Ah yes – I am very familiar with that. I am very easily annoyed and angered when I wait too long to eat. I have been tested (blood work) for sugar imbalances and everything always comes back normal. But it is not a pleasant experiece for anyone involved when I get like that. I often wondered about it being physical or psychological, as well.
