Afternoon drinks: a glass of squash, a cup tea

In the afternoon, a neighbour came round to invite me out to the caffe where I’d had lunch. I invited her in instead. I gave her a praline biscuit to go with her tea but, because of this blog, I didn’t have one (I would have otherwise – maybe even TWO).

6:30pm Veg bean and mince stew with dumplings

This was the last portion of what I had cooked over the weekend. And Frank had the last of the potato and celeriac mash and so there will be something different tomorrow! Are you excited? You should be.

11:45pm Halloumi cheese wrap with fries + iced peach tea @ Fego

An early lunch at a nearby caffe. I also had a small handful of Frank’s skinny fries.

It’s Halloumi cheese, lettuce, rocket, sun-dried tomatoes, avocado and pestonnaisse dressing (presumably pesto mixed with mayonnaise), which is why it’s SO yummy. It came with a lightly-dressed salad.

It’s healthy in principle but not in the ingredients (the sun-dried tomatoes are stored in oil and the avocado, pesto and mayonnaise are mostly fat/oil). Still, I would hope that it works out less calories than a McDonald’s veggie meal (600 calories).

Afternoon drink: very large glass of squash and orange juice with fizzy water

7:30am Brown seeded toast with honey and banana + a cup of tea

I would have spread extra light Philadelphia (cream) cheese on the toast but it had gawn orf.
