I’d intended to allow a post-dinner snack of soup but ended up spending an hour at a neighbour’s house (Anna’s friend!) and got back too late to eat. Hurray.

Better late than never!
Well, I got started on my diet on April 1st, giving me enough time scoff all the chocolate I aquired over Easter. This meant I had a bit of a binge on the 31st, but…oh well. I currently weigh 162 lbs – my heaviest ever. I would like to lose around 35-40 lbs which will take me back to the size 10 I was 4 years ago.
Tuesday April 1st
For breakfast I had one small pot of strawberry yoghurt (130 cals)
Lunch was 1 plain bagel with low-fat cheese (245 cals)
Dinner was a scrumptious Weight Watchers chicken curry (320 cals)
Various cups of tea with skimmed milk and two diet drinks (50 cals)
A grand total of 745 cals!!
I did a bit of exercise yesterday too. I went to see the Red Arrows flypast and walked from Waterloo to Westminster Bridge. After work, I walked from Chelsea Bridge to Clapham Junction, briskly, a distance of around 2.5 miles. Add the walk to and from the station and in all, I walked over 4 miles yesterday.
Wednesday April 2nd
For breakfast I had one small pot of strawberry yoghurt (130 cals) (you will notice a certain amount of repetition in my diet!)
For lunch I went for a whole bread sandwich with egg, pickles and tomato (258 cals)
Dinner consisted of pasta with half-fat tomato and mascapone sauce (750 cals)
Various cups of tea with skimmed milk and two diet drinks (50 cals)
A grand total of 1188 cals…hmmm!
I needed to use up the sauce, but will go for much lower cal ones in future. A minor, but nevertheless satisfying, victory for me today was the moment I passed up the opportunity in the staff cafe, of having one of my favourite desserts: apple crumble and custard (and it looked delicious!). I was rather pleased my will power kicked in, as it has been in lamentably short supply recently (hence the need to diet). :-)
Wednesday’s are a Yolk
10:30am Breakfast – 370 cals
I made a cheese omelette, today, with butter. I was delighted to get not one, but two double-yolk eggs from my box of Clarence Court Mabel Pearman’s Burford Browns. Damned fancy eggs.

Verdict, rich deep tasty delish, more difficult to handle than the Old Cotswolds, cos the Burfords have a very thick shell making one-handed breaking impossible!
5pm Drunch – 675 cals
Laterpm Supper – 420 + 200 + 120 cals
I wanted to take some sarnies with me tonight, instead of buying a triangle, cheaper. So I made two lots, cos I was hungry, and ate some straight away. I used tinned salmon, yogurt, cucumber, a touch of mayo for glue, etc.
Also for later I’ve got a small bag of Doritos, and a Milky Way. I’ll try and eat much later, rather than at 7pm like I normally do, I’ll wait until I’m a bit hungry.
Daily Total Prediction - 1785, hell, lets say 1800 cals!
I’m feeling that lately since counting the calories I’m not eating enough, I think I need to be around 2000 a day, but below it feels too little. So 2000-2500. The next week or two will be more of a challenge, as I’ve got a project away from home, so will no doubt be eating a little more randomly.
