A day of rest

I’m conscious I’m not eating much in the way of fresh produce, so remedied that today. Having bought an M&S Count on Us braised steak for 2 (with carrots in gravy), I bought 4 little new pototoes and a few sprigs of broccoli, half of which I ate today. Even though I felt I ate plenty today, I was pleased to see the counter stay pretty much on the button.

My only exercise today was a walk in to Richmond. I started off wearing a long sleeve tee-shirt, a cardigan and a mac. Halfway there, the cardi came off and two thirds of the way there, the mac had to go too. By the time I got to the main drag (about 10 mins after leaving my flat) my tee-shirt sleeves were rolled up too and I was still feeling too hot! The sun was quite intense out of the wind (I suppose it’s at the same level now, two months before the solstice, as it is in August, two months after it). I ended up taking a bus the two stops back home, as I didn’t want to lug the bag of groceries I picked up (my backpack, taken especially for this purpose, being filled with various layers of discarded clothing!). I shall do my walk tomorrow.

So, without further ado, my results for today… :-)

Your blog makes me quite homesick! We’ve had quite cold weather in California for the last week. (I know that isn’t completely appropriate to a dieting blog…)

Personally, I quite like hearing about things outside of the calorie counts – it’s nice to have context!
