Training to and in Liverpool
I’m sitting here feeling really stuffed and it’s 3 hours since I ate! I knew with the buffet the hotel here in Liverpool would provide would make it hard to keep the calories down — it’s very limited as the meal was for 14 people. I could have avoided the apple pie but I chose not to. I did avoid having a pack of cookies in the break. I knew I’d done fairly well with the calories today, all things considered, so I went for it. :-)
I checked my pedometer at the end of the day and had clocked up 9,000 steps. When facilitating I remain standing, so they’re not all ‘real’ steps — I’d guess about half to two thirds are — but the rest are little steps I take as I deliver the session.

Week 5: weigh in
I did my weigh-in this morning and was pleased to see I’m back on track with a loss of 2lbs (after gaining 1 lb last week!).
I’m not consciously trying to eat too little but once again, my total is on the low side. However, as I said yesterday, I’m heading up to Liverpool today for a late night training session and I know the buffet meal served at the hotel will definitely send me over today. Depending on what they offer, I will also likely indulge in a dessert, a) simply to indulge and b) to keep my energy up as we’re not scheduled to finish until midnight (this is late-shift call-centre staff, and I’m running the corporate culture course for them which is fun and active).
Here are my results for yesterday:
| Breakfast | Yoghurt | 70 |
|---|---|---|
| Snack | Pineapple slices | 45 |
| Lunch | Diet cottage cheese | 210 |
| 2 ryvetas | 61 | |
| Dinner | Roast chicken | 232 |
| Pain rustique (roll) | 260 | |
| Diet mousse | 60 | |
| Snack | Small stick of cheese | 78 |
| Total Calories | 1,016 | |
And just to complete, here’s my graph showing a (mostly) downward trend…sooo satisfying! :-)
