11:30am & 3pm  Chicken salad sandwiches

I had a meeting in Putney for the afternoon. I made two sandwiches to take with me.

I’d asked the person I was visiting for advice on when to get off the bus so that I could walk that last 20 minutes. He said that from the station was 45mins and also gave clear details of where to get off the bus for 20 mins including a detour through a cemetery. Very useful!

I got to Putney an hour before my meeting. It was a lovely warm day with a light breeze and it seemed a waste to get a bus and so I walked the whole way. With the cemetery detour, it was about 45 mins.

On the way, I got a text message to say that the neighbour’s had invited us over that evening for dinner. I ate half of the second sandwich at 3pm, knowing that dinner wouldn’t be till about 8pm and *shock* *horror* threw away the other half.

8pm – 9pm  BBQ

I took my own drink over (a pint of fizzy squash with ice) so that calories came from food rather than boooze.

They had bought veg burgers as well as sausages. I figured I could have two sausages which were 88 calories each. But I hadn’t realised that a veg burger was already being cooked. Yup, limiting one’s intake at BBQs isn’t easy!

I had four helpings, the last two for flavour alone:

  1. a Quorn burger, 2 mushrooms, cous cous, red pepper, undressed salad, coleslaw
  2. a Quorn sausage, stuffed mushroom, corn on the cob
  3. more salad and coleslaw
  4. more salad and cous cous

They had biscuits for dessert, which I passed on – including the custard creams.

Day 127: weigh-in

Weekly weigh-in: 3lbs lost (total: 31lbs in 18 weeks)

Actually, my scales gave me two readings, depending on where I put them – either 3lbs or 5lbs lost! I don’t believe it’s 5lbs.

Pure willpower!

I’ve been running a training course onsite all day today (and again tomorrow) and avoided the pastries for breakfast and the still-warm cookies at breaktime morning and afternoon. I had brought something to eat for lunch, but decided rather than disappear off to get my food and warm it in the microwave in the canteen, to stay with the attendees and have a sandwich from the buffet, plus a mini-chicken kebab (which I didn’t dip in the peanut sauce provided).

I didn’t take my pedometer because a) I drove in (I needed to lug some stuff home after work) and b) I’m wearing a dress today and there isn’t anywhere to clip it to. I did go for a brisk walk in the park at lunchtime, so managed a bit of exercise.

Breakfast Yoghurt 125
Lunch Egg low-fat mayo sandwich 220
Small grilled chicken kebab 50
Snack Fresh fruit salad 100
Dinner WeightWatchers curry 295
Drinks 1 tea + various 0 cal bevs 20
