11:50am  Bean and vegetable salad + pint of fizzy squash

I found two unopened tubs in the fridge, one of Quark soft cheese – two weeks past its user-by date – and one of cottage cheese. The Quark looked and smelled fine, and I decided to use it all up today.

I used our biggest soup bowl so that I could mix things and then realised I’d managed to fill it up. I wondered whether I should save some for later. This is a yellow pepper, a red onion, a green chilli, a pear and some red kidney beans in a dressing of Quark and sweet chilli sauce. Very nice.

This was to use up the remaining Quark. I originally had half a slice of rye bread but it wasn’t enough for the amount of soft cheese. I added a slice of the Cranks bread, worried that I’d also had bread for breakfast.
