Saturday Update Early
Theoretically I said I would take weekends off – but today was the first day I felt hungry and I suspected I’d make a real pig of myself without any controls. Also, my boyfriends diet doesn’t allow for weekends off (it has a low carb component so he needs to stay in ketosis) and it seems a bit mean to be living it up while he’s struggling to stay on the diet.
Also, I have a macaroon hidden in the cigarette drawer and I wanted to see if I could possibly justify eating it.

Late night addition of 8g dark chocolate – 40 calories. A shame really as that takes me over the 1,500 mark!

Decent total.
Were the pork and tortellini in different courses? If not, are you thinking in terms of redundant (carb or protein) elements per meal?
Is the macaroon the French sandwich kind?

I needed veg – also my son LOVES the vegetable tortellini and this was a meal that it fit into.
Actually, I’ve just been given a recipe for white bean, pasta and potato soup that I’m dying to try. I did immediately think it was a shame there wasn’t some sort of extreme high carb diet that I could go for. :)
The macaroons are pretty French ones with amazing colours, I saw them in Lausanne and very carefully made a point of buying them before a party with lots of people – so that they clearly had to be shared.
There are two left, though!
I had 8g of chocolate with my evening coffee last night instead, as that seemed easier to manage as a small taste.

(oh and yes, the macaroons are just as divine as you said they were)
