Anyone out there?!

Where is everyone? I know Paola is offline with the move but everyone else seems to have gone silent! :-)

Lately I started to feel in a bit of a ‘rut’ with the things I was eating and so struck out today with a half portion of M&S chicken tikka masala, the other half of which I’ll have for lunch tomorrow. And very tasty it was too. M&S were also offering little individual portions of veggies – 2 for £1 so that turned out rather well.

When I got on the scales this morning (I weigh myself every day) I was horrified to see I’d gone *up* a pound when I’ve been so good. It’s just about that time of the month, so I’m not surprised. With my foot being much better, I’m going to look at doing more walking again. I’ll have to dust the old pedometer off next week, I think.

Day 100!

Today I celebrate 100 days of successful dieting! Yay!!

I had thought about allowing myself something naughty but nice, but it seems as if I’ve acquired an intolerance to all the naughty things I like. Bah!

I managed to eat yesterday’s uneaten salad for lunch together with a rather delicious tub of cottage cheese from M&S (they don’t seem to do a low-fat variety). For a mid-afternoon snack, I bought I tub of fresh pineapple from Sainsbury’s who are doing an offer on them — only £1 per tub. Bargain!

I ended up working very late this evening to meet a deadline I didn’t know I had until today… So it was gone 8pm before I finally left. I was kept company for part of that time by the lovely Josephine, who’s a copywriter with the communications team, and a self-confessed blogaholic. She now knows about the Food Confessional. Hi Josephine! :-)

Anyway, by 7:30 this evening I was absolutely starving and the thought of waiting to eat until I got home and cooked dinner made me feel faint. So I trolled off to the staff cafe and discovered the hot offering was spag bol. Say no more! Even though I’m not eating starchy carbs, I couldn’t resist. And boy did it hit the spot. 4 hours later, I’m still feeling full! I’ve no idea how many calories it is — the 600 is a guess and I hope it’s an overestimate.
