Resisting temptation!

This staying in hotels lark is hard work! Things I chose not to eat today: having had breakfast, in the first break, toast and danish pastries were served, but I declined; at lunchtime the most deliciously moist-looking chocolate cake with chocolate filling and frosting, served with pouring cream was up for grabs and I was the *only* person who didn’t have it, despite some serious “when harry met sally” moments going on around me at the table… I had grapes; waiting in the First Class lounge for the train home, biscuits and Madeira cake were on offer; on the train, I was offered more biscuits and more cake. Ah well, I can feel all holier than thou, now. :-)

Week 15 weigh-in

Amazingly, 1 lb lost – 18 lbs (8.18 kg) lost in total and if I lose another pound next week, I’ll be over the half-way mark! Yippee!! :-)

With my weight having gone up slightly during the week, I was very pleasantly surprised when I got onto the scales on weigh-in day and found I was down a pound on last week’s weight — I’m actually quite chuffed about that. I didn’t have a great day, calorie-wise on Sunday as I had little to eat in my fridge on a day that turned out to be too hectic to have time to buy anything. This was followed by a longer-than-normal train journey to Liverpool (nearly 3 hrs due to the ubiquetous engineering works) where the First Class service on Sundays is limited to biscuits and cakes, so I caved in. I’ve had a much better day today to make up for it!
