Day 192: First dial-up

I spent the morning on the phone with BT, getting frustrated. I made a soup as I’d had the carrots since before the move. I added a whole bunch of celery, a pear, red onion, a can of beans and a can of sweet & sour sauce. Very yum.

5:40pm   Tea and cake @ Tchibo

I returned some cheap linen trousers I’d bought a couple of days before in UK size 22 as I’d forgotten I was now a size 18. But on trying on other sizes, I found out that I was down another size to 16 (US 14). I bought three pairs of £10 jeans and celebrated with tea and cake!

9:40pm   Creamy pasta with garlic, broad beans and peas

The broad beans took ages to pod and peel. They were nicely soft and creamy. I used a frozen pasta portion but ended up with a lot once I added the veg. I started to put some back but realised I hadn’t weighed it all to figure out a proportion and decided, guiltily, to have it all. I wasn’t that hungry after cooking it all but ate it all anyway.
