Week 16: weigh-in
1 lb lost, 19 lbs (8.64 kg) in total.
It’s been a frantic couple of weeks, so I set aside today to be a ’slob day’ and I largely managed it (other than a mad dash down to the shops 45 mins before they shut when I remembered it’s a friend’s birthday next week and I didn’t have a pressie for her!).
I’m seeing a foot specialist this week and hope to find out why my right foot remains swollen and painful (although it’s no longer acute to the point I’m limping). I’m keen to get back to some kind of exercise regime that will help me with my weight loss.

Working Saturday
I was up at 7am and had a quick yoghurt before leaving for work, where the charity I’m on the board of trustees for was holding its AGM (my boss lets us use our training room at weekends for these charity meetings). Because it was the AGM I knew it was going on longer than normal and lunch would be late, so I decided to indulge with peanut butter on toast.
After the meeting, I headed to east London to meet up with a friend. She met me at the station and we went to a cafe for lunch (this was at 2:30 — I would have been starving if not for the toast earlier!). I fancied a cheese panini (one of my favourite snacks) and watched as the server carefully measured out one and a half slices of cheese, which when toasted kind of melted right into the bread so that I could barely taste it! I asked for a small skinny hot chocolate to go with it.
That evening, we went to a lovely Thai restaurant where I had a noodle dish. The portion was modest and I only ate half the noodles, carefully picking out the bits of chicken and veggies from it. It was very tasty and filling and I still felt full when I got home at midnight!
