Eating at 10:00pm was a mistake. Eating a whole sandwich was a mistake. But the thing is, I was just really hungry. I had a very long day and dinner just didn’t hold me. *shrugs* I refuse to feel bad about it. It wasn’t overeating… I was hungry and I ate. Tomorrow I’ll try to keep my calories down.

Meh.

We went out with some friends this afternoon and I ate a lot more than I should have. The calories are bad enough, but what bothers me most is that I was pretty full early on, but just kept eating.

In better news, this evening, my husband was hungry and suggested we run out and get something to eat. He said something along the lines of, “well, if you’ve already blown it today, what’s a little something else?” But I resisted, remembering my recent post about not falling prey to the “all or nothing” mentality. I’m feeling a little hungry now and may still have a yogurt and/or a piece of lowfat cheese. I’ve added the calories just in — just in case.

Anyway, tomorrow is my chance to do much, much better.

Couscous x 2

I made a yummy curry/veg couscous tonight and calculated the calories per serving at 240 each. It was so yummy that I went back for seconds, which I *never* do. The second serving was just slightly smaller than the first and I regretted it immediately, but that didn’t stop me from eating it. I’ve felt slightly sick ever since. I still went for my walk however and even though it only put me just a tad over 1,000 calories I don’t feel like eating anymore. Not only is my tummy a little dodgy, but I feel guilty about overeating. I suppose it doesn’t matter how many calories one eats if they continue to do things like over stuff themselves even when they are full. *sigh*

Accidental Low Calorie Day

I’m finding that’s it’s not terribly easy for me to find time to eat on the days that I work my summer job… which accounts for my low totals today. It wasn’t until after I’d already eaten my last meal/snack that I realized I was so low, but by that time I’d already a) brushed my teeth and b) wasn’t hungry, so it’s seemed silly to try to eat something else just to add more calories. I’m sure I’ll be closer to the “normal” range tomorrow. The thing I’m most proud of today is that even though I worked all day and was pooped, I managed to walk 5k (3.2 miles) tonight. And one more thing, it was hot, very hot. :) All in all, a good, good day.

Rain, Rain Go Away…

I love the rain but the recent torrential downpours, and accompanying thunderstorms, in my neck of the woods have made walking in the evenings impossible. Last night I didn’t care, but tonight I *really* wanted to get out there. Oddly, not enough to get on the exercise bike, however. That said, I have to work tomorrow, so I’ll get a lot more activity in. In the end, I’m surprised that I didn’t go over 1200 calories today. I think my husband was right to encourage me to get a summer job, on days when I’m home, and bored, I find it much harder not to eat food that’s bad for me.
