Day 247: Half asleep

Morning drink: fresh coffee

At mum’s, who’d fallen the night before and cracked her pelvis. She needed me and Frank there during the night to get her in and out of bed. I think I was up 5 times during the night – we were both utterly exhausted by the time I properly got up in time for the Care Manager’s meeting at 10am. She was there for 4 hours and we were both completely drained after she’d left. I was feeling tired and sick but thought I should eat something.

2pm  Cottage cheese with Krisproll + passion fruit

Motivated by the possibility of having to go into a nursing home temporarily, and with the aid of a foot stool, the three of us finally figured out how mum could get into bed by herself. Hurray!

Driving back home, my appetite returned. We stopped off at a late-opening Borders.
