9:40am  Cheese and ham salad sandwich + fresh coffee

I bought some cheap tomatoes at our food shop yesterday to bulk up my sandwiches. I originally took three slices of ‘ham’ but returned one.

I thought twice about having a bit of Frank’s cake seeing as I had eaten a pastry, cake and biscuit yesterday. But, from the first mouthful, no regrets. It was mega fresh and was just an explosion of flavour from the cinnamon and citrus in the icing. I think a whole one would have been sickly.

On the way home from our meeting, I popped into Tesco to get some Quorn beef-style bits after only remembering during the night that Tesco sold them, not Waitrose.

I’m gonna use them instead of the Quorn chicken-style pieces and mince. The beef-style pieces have a better flavour and texture than either. I bought six bags plus some doughnuts for Frank.

Afternoon drink: pint of fizzy squash

Unfortunately, eating earlier made me more hungry. I was distracted by thoughts of eating. It probably didn’t help that I was watching Jamie’s Ministry of Food.
