Day 2 – 16: From very hungry to very full

I had no idea that I was going to receive the first injection in my tummy, so was in for a bit of a surprise today!

DAY 2
Breakfast –  3oz strawberries
Lunch – 3oz strawberries, 2 melba toasts and 6 tbsp egg white scramble with PAM spray
Snack – 2 breadsticks
Dinner – Broccoli and Cheese Soup, 2 breadsticks and 1 apple.
Weigh in at clinic – lost 1.2 lbs

DAY 3
Breakfast – 6tbsp Egg white omelette with 3oz vegetables (onions, peppers and mushrooms)
Lunch – 6oz fish, 3oz lettuce and mushrooms, 2 triscuits
Snack – 1/4 cantaloupe
Dinner – 6oz fish with 3oz lettuce, tomato, mushroom salad
Late night – Decaf tea, with 2 melba toasts and tuna mayo
Had too much under bread category!

DAY 4
Breakfast – 6tbsp Egg white omelette with 3oz mushrooms, 2 melba toasts
Lunch – Broccoli and Cheese Soup (3oz Broccoli and 1 slice low fat cheese); 2 melba toasts
Snack – 1/4 cantaloupe, 2 triscuits
Dinner – 3oz chicken, 6oz cauliflower mash
Late night cheating – melba toasts with tuna and peppers
Very hungry, headache, could not sleep!

DAY 5
Breakfast -1/4 cantaloupe and Mocha Protein Shake
Lunch – 3oz chicken patty (used 1 tbsp egg white and spices), 6oz lettuce with 1 tbsp balsamic dressing
Dinner – 4 melba toasts, 1oz tuna and 1 tsp miracle whip
Weigh in – lost 4.2lbs

DAY 6
Breakfast – 1/4 cantaloupe, 1/2 mocha protein shake
Lunch – 2oz chicken, 2oz lettuce and 1/2 lime
Snack – 1/2 mocha protein shake
Dinner – 3oz lettuce, 2oz red radishes, 3oz chicken patty with 1 tbsp egg white
Seem to have lost appetite

DAY 7
Breakfast – Protein shake
Lunch – 6oz mushrooms, 2 slices turkey bacon
Snack – 4 melba toasts, 1.5oz tuna, 1 tsp miracle whip
Dinner – 3oz turkey, 3oz lettuce and mushrooms salad with balsamic vinaigrette

DAY 8
Breakfast – 6tbsp egg white omelette with 3oz mushrooms and onions, 1 strip turkey bacon
Lunch – 3oz turkey patty with 1 tbsp egg white, 6oz mixed salad (lettuce, mushrooms, tomato, red onions) with balsamic vinaigrette
Dinner – 3oz turkey patty with 1 tbsp egg white, 3oz spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette
Late night – protein shake as hungry!

DAYc9
Breakfast – Protein shake, 3oz turkey patty with 1 tbsp egg white
Lunch – 3oz spinach, 3oz lemon and black pepper fish fillet
Snack – Protein shake
Dinner – 3oz fish fillet, 3oz lettuce salad with balsamic vinaigrette

DAY 10
Breakfast – 4 tbsp egg white omelette with 1 cheese slice
Lunch – 3oz Cauliflower cheese soup with 2 cheese slices
Dinner – 3oz spinach, 3oz tomatoes, 3oz fish fillet with lemon plus chick peas
Cheated today – had chick peas with the salad at dinner

DAY 11
Breakfast – 6tbsp egg white omelette
Lunch – 3oz beef patty with 1 tbsp egg white, 1 tsp miracle whip
Dinner – 3oz chicken patty with 1 tbsp egg white, 6oz cucumber, 6oz cauliflower and 1.5 cheese slice

DAY 12
Breakfast – 1/4 cantaloupe
Lunch – 3oz beef samosa – 1/2 tortilla, 6oz lettuce, tomato, cucumber salad
Dinner – 4oz lettuce, tomato, cucumber salad; 1oz beef, 1/2 tortilla, lime and 1/4 cantaloupe

DAY 13
Breakfast – Protein shake, 1/4 cantaloupe
Lunch – 6oz Mixed salad (Lettuce, tomato, Cucumber, onion); 1 cheese slice, 1/2 wrap, 1/4 cantaloupe
Dinner – 3oz chicken, 3oz tomatoes, 1oz onions

DAY 14
Breakfast – Protein shake
Lunch – 3oz mixed salad, 1/4 cantaloupe
Dinner – 6oz lettuce, 6oz fish fillet, 3oz tomato and cucumber salad

DAY 15
Breakfast – 1/4 cantaloupe
Lunch – 6oz lettuce and tomatoes salad, 2 breadsticks, 3oz fish fillet
Dinner – 6oz mushrooms, 6oz fish fillet

DAY 16
Breakfast – 6tbsp egg white omelette
Lunch – 6oz tomato and cucumber salad, 6 breadsticks
Dinner – 6oz chicken, 3oz tomato salad
Started Dieters tea, to help constipation as advised by nurse.

  1. Well, that’s certainly strict.

    Contrats on your progress so far.

    Is the Miracle Whip on the allowed list? If not, if the regime is to get your body into a specific metabolic state, won’t processed sugar scupper it?

    How long do you think it’ll be till you reach your target? Will you get advice on how to maintain the desired weight? That’s the bit I find I possible.

  2. Thanks and yes, it is really strict.
    Low fat miracle whip is on my allowed list, and I can only have 1 tbsp per day. I find it hard to eat canned tuna without ‘something’ in it, so I reserve it for that.

    It should take 9-11 months to get to my target weight and they do a maintenance plan for 1 year which I definitely intend to follow otherwise I will be back at this point again. Measuring and checking every mouthful was hard to get used to, but its getting there.
